Fantasy League(Play-Offs), 2008-9

The EIHL Fantasy League Play-offs have just gone "live"

It's the same rules as the regular season IE 1 NM, 4 brit D men, 3 non classified, 5 Brit Forwards & 4 Non classified.

But to join you will need to submit a team (either identical to the current league1, or a whole new team, or even both having a challenge with yourself whether it has improved.

The "Play-Offs 2008-9" will commence it's scoring from the weekend of 31st Jan/1st Feb, so not a lot of time to add your team without penalties.......... (I'll stop all transfers once the "Real" Play-Offs start)

Alas cannot do a REAL Knockout Cup competition still so it's a mini League format.

Not many teams ATM, you've got till 31st Jan to enroll & not get a knockback on points after that it'll be points from after the nearest weekend to registering.

Edit - Ok, I would, but its not clear where to go to join the playoffs. I hit join league, sign in with my old account for the league, and it takes me to my league team with no options to join the playoff league aswell. Do I need 2 accounts or something?

Edit 2 - Ok found it, at last lol. Just something I notice, how were the numbers of brits/non brits in each position determined? I'm thinking, EIHL teams have 4 import and 1 brit defenceman (usually) yet we see just 3 imports and 4 brits! Forwards, again the standard team has 5 imports and 4 brits, but its the other way around on here. Not complaining, just wouldn't it make more sense to make a team to the same build up of an EIHL side?

Bit of a mish mash TBH, it started on THF as a joint BNL/EIHL thing so there was a compromise between numbers (used to run it on an Excel Spreadsheet)

& there were adjustments made when installed on the Fantastar website, alas that is set in stone (for this season at least) Ditto that I'd like to run a REAL Knockout competition which was easy enough on Excel but the website won't differentiate between the next 8 teams progressing then down to 4 etc until ending up with the final 2 teams.

All these things are due to be in hand for next season (this season they had other sports to set up IE the Olympics) so we got put on back-burner.

Like you numbers are suffering from the loss of the EIHL Forums I've got 248 teams in the regular league but am struggling to make it worth while 14 teams ATM & most of them I've put on (my own teams & mates who haven't access or I've helped out making teams)
