Can I take it Storm won their series looking at their calender? Can I send the challenges? Yes the IceRayz snatched 2nd place in that series . I've issued challenges to Warwick Castles for our next round in the play offs, I'm assuming they win through against the Coventry Maple Leafs by default.

Blazing Storm (4) Vs IceRayz (5) My prediction for the series, I have to go with the head to heads and give Storm the edge. They've been winning the low scoring games, and if the pucks start to find the net more often, this can only benefit them further. I'll go for Storm in six. Close - I managed to take the series to 7 games. By the way loved the preview write ups and spooky how accurate your reading of games turned out.
More please...

Question:
Got an invite coming up on my screens saying Info about the restart and the launch of the full version: The final preparations to launch the full version of hockey are already under way. The beta version is still running, but everything will be restarted with the launch of the full version and everybody will start from scratch. All teams that will be active at the time of the restart, along with their existing names and arena names, will be transferred into the full version. However, all of the facilities will be reset and the teams will get a brand new roster of players. Only the team name and arena name will remain. All the others who will create a team after the launch of the full version will be always assigned to the lowest leagues. The countries with at least 50 active managers at the end of the beta version will get their own leagues.
The launch is scheduled for April 1, 2009, but it is possible that this date will be postponed. Full version means that it will not be restarted and the teams will not be reset again. We will call it the PRE-FINAL version, because there will still be some features that will have to be implemented and finalized after its launch.
Choosing the starting position: Only managers with hockey teams in beta version will have the opportunity to choose their starting position. The deadline for the selection of the starting position is March 1, 2009. After this date, all the managers that failed to choose the starting position will be treated as if they selected the option 'In any league'.
The choices of the teams higher in the hockey waitinglist will have the priority (i.e. those who either signed up for hockey sooner or those who created their teams sooner). Because there is a limited number of spaces in the top leagues, not everybody will get a place in one of the top leagues. With 4 choices in a poll,
I would like to start:
In the highest possible league In a relatively high tier league In any league In a relatively low tier league In the lowest possible league so which is the better option?

bisonpete. As you probably gather, thats all about the reset to the full version where everyone starts fresh. The "poll" is asking you what tier of league you'd like to start in, as of course only 20 teams can start in the top league. Some managers might want to start as high up as possible, whilst other people might prefer to start at the bottom of the tree, and enjoy the challenge of trying to move their way up. Its completly down to you which you'd like to go for, down to personal preferance I think. In terms of the gameplay in each league, I expect the top tier will contain more managers determined to "win now", signing players off the market and getting a good team right away. That means if you play top tier and build for the future, your season 2 sponsership offer might be quite low. However, the general status of leagues lower down the tiers and general prize money and sponsership is also lower, so its better to come 6th in the top league than in tier 3. What you may or may not know is that on the reset, you'll be in the British Leagues, not against everyone else as you currantly are. There are I believe about 160 UK managers, which means we'd get 8 leagues and so we'd have the top 2 tiers, with 3 III leagues. I'm just saying, you won't be in tier V or such again as that was for everyone on the game, not just brits. I believe they will implement the national cup between UK players, but also other cups worldwide, maybe just for the better teams, I don't know.

OK as I'm better at the admin side than the competitive side I'll opt for relatively low

Don,t forget bisonpete, everybody is starting on an even playing field when it goes live in April.
For you Blaze fans out their. Your team played some good hockey in Belfast last night, the luck was just not their. I think you hit the pipes 3-4 times Lyle got our man of the match with some great saves, Perras also played well with some great saves, but it just wasn,t to be.
Also Hicks was ref, what else can i say, this guy is a joke and for to call himself a ref is so funny its beyond laughting anymore.

We completly dominated the Steelers for 50 minutes on Sunday too. Wasn't as if Jody had one of his nights either, our offence is just incapable of finding the net! When you can't win a period you dominate, thats a bad thing. When you get 2 of those periods every night, you know your in trouble! We're fine against the weaker sides with weaker D's, thats the only reason we're in contention at the top.
